Introduction
Our journey to the Odoo x NMIT Hackathon 2025 began with a mail from the Placement and Corporate Relations (PLACOM) Team, Bennett University, on 19 August 2025.
Seizing the opportunity, our team lead Shashwat Ranjan registered Team Código Maestro, setting in motion an unforgettable adventure that tested our creativity, endurance, and collaboration on a national stage.
The hackathon was organized in two phases — an online virtual round and an on-site grand finale at Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology (NMIT), Bengaluru.

Virtual Round – 6 September 2025
A surprise problem statement dropped at 8:00 AM, kicking off a 9-hour sprint to build a working prototype and push it to GitHub before 5:00 PM.
Teams also submitted a video presentation between 5:00 and 6:30 PM, explaining their concept and workflow.
When results were announced on 11 September 2025, Team Código Maestro proudly emerged among the Top 105 teams in India, securing a ticket to the on-site finale.

Grand Finale – NMIT Bengaluru (20–21 September 2025)
Over 400+ finalists assembled at NMIT for an electrifying 48-hour hackathon. The DataWiz Club of NMIT ensured flawless logistics, mentorship, and hospitality throughout.
At 10:00 AM, the final challenge was revealed:
"Build an accounting system with interlinked databases that are secure, scalable, bug-protected, and optimized for fast loading."
Our Approach
Our solution combined security, scalability, and speed, built collaboratively across backend, frontend, and optimization layers.

Results & Recognition
As the finale concluded, all participants gathered in the NMIT auditorium. After the Top 6 presentations and jury deliberations, the winners were announced — and though we didn't reach the podium, the Odoo jury honored the Top 15 teams for outstanding performance.
Through our faculty coordinators, we were thrilled to learn that Team Código Maestro secured 10th Rank All India 🎖️ — a proud achievement out of 3,800+ teams and 15,000+ developers.

Additionally, Shashwat Ranjan, our team lead, was invited by NMIT for a video interview to share insights — a gesture that recognized our contribution among national finalists.
